What People Come to Us For
Pain is our specialty. Patients often come to us for:
- Lower back pain
- Neck and shoulder pain
- Knee and joint aches
- Headaches and migraines
- Muscle tension
- Stress and trouble sleeping
Research supports acupuncture most strongly for some types of long-lasting pain, including lower back, neck and knee pain. Results vary from person to person, and acupuncture does not replace medical care. If you have a new or serious symptom, please see your doctor.
What to Expect at Your Visit
- Talk. Diem asks about your health, your symptoms and what you hope to change.
- Treat. Thin, sterile, single-use needles are placed at points chosen for you, and you rest while they work.
- Plan. Diem talks with you about next steps. Your plan can include cupping, Tui Na massage, Chinese herbs or shockwave therapy if they fit your needs.
Electroacupuncture and Moxa
When appropriate, Diem may add gentle electrical stimulation through the needles (E-stim) along with moxa, a traditional warming therapy.
Price and Length
An acupuncture session is 60 minutes and costs $215. You can see all of our treatments on the services page. Please read our cancellation policy before you book.

Common Questions
Does acupuncture hurt?
The needles are very thin. Most people feel little, or a brief pinch, tingle or dull ache. Tell Diem if anything feels uncomfortable.
How many sessions will I need?
It depends on you and what you are treating. Results usually come from a series of treatments rather than one visit. Diem can talk with you about a plan at your first appointment.
Is acupuncture safe?
Serious problems are uncommon when treatment is given by a trained, licensed practitioner using sterile needles. Minor soreness or bruising can happen. Tell us if you are pregnant, take blood thinners, have a bleeding disorder or have a pacemaker.
Can I have acupuncture while seeing my doctor?
Yes, many patients do. Please let both your doctor and Diem know about all of your treatments and medications.
